Glasgow Loves Local Cards : How to Activate


As part of Glasgow’s response to the cost of living crisis, eligible households have been sent ‘Glasgow Loves Local’ cards worth £105. These vouchers can be spent at a large number of qualifying shops within the city. You can find out where you can spend your card here.

These cards must be activated online. If you do not have the internet, you can activate your card in one of the following ways.

  • Visit your local library to access a computer to allow you to access the internet and activate your card. The nearest open libraries to Govanhill are Pollockshields Library and the Gorbals Library. For Merrylee visit the Couper Institute Library on Clarkston road.
  • With your permission, a friend/family member with access to the internet can activate your card on your behalf
  • Contact one of their Customer Services Agents on – 0141 287 9992 who will be able to assist.  Telephone lines are open Monday to Friday: 2pm to 4.30pm.
