Govanhill Housing Association owns and manages over 1600 houses in the Govanhill area to the south and east of Glasgow city centre. We also factor a further 600 houses on behalf of some local owners and private landlords. The following table gives details of all our rented properties.

 Note: a 1 apartment has no separate bedroom, a 2 apartment has one bedroom, a 3 apartment has two bedrooms, etc.

 

Stock Profile - The majority of our stock is tenement flats and we have more one and two bedroom flats (88% of all stock) than any other size and type of house. We do have some terraced houses in our new build stock however turn over is low and these house types are in very high demand.

 

Housing for Special Needs - We also have flats and houses that have been purpose built or adapted to meet special needs and some are suitable for wheelchair users with level access and barrier free interiors. Please let us know if you are disabled, or if you have a medical condition that affects the type of house that you need, so that we can do our best to meet your housing needs.

Service Delivery - Services are delivered through four operational teams, each being directly responsible for around five hundred properties located within our overall area of operation.

We seek to make our services as accessible as possible to all customers.  Our office at Samaritan House is fully wheelchair accessible, we provide bilingual services (Punjabi, Urdu & Hindi) and are able to provide Braille documents to the visually impaired.
