As a Registered Social Landlord, the Association manages and maintains its properties in compliance with its legal and contractual requirements.  Our key aim is to ensure that residents are able to peacefully enjoy their homes in a clean, tidy and safe environment.

  • Visits to new tenants to help them to settle in to their new homes
  • Dealing with breaches of tenancy conditions, including anti-social behaviour and pursuing rent arrears
  • Responding to tenants complaints and concerns about estate management issues, including graffiti removal and clearing litter from closes and common areas
  • Working with individual tenants and with representative groups to promote tenant participation and encourage involvement in estate management issues
  • Dealing with requests from tenants for permission to take in a lodger, or sublet their house, or to assign or exchange their tenancy, or to carry out any alterations or improvements to their house
  • Working with other service providers to maintain and enhance the quality of the environment in Govanhill, including:
    • Improving Community Safety
    • Liaison with the community police service
    • Keeping common areas and open spaces neat, clean and tidy
    • Responding to fly tipping by arranging early removal
    • Removing abandoned cars and other vehicles
  • Liaison with all agencies and service providers to make sure that tenants with special needs receive appropriate care and support services

Contacting our Area Teams - Please contact the Senior Housing Officer, Housing Officer, or Housing Assistant who deals with your area using the direct dial telephone numbers or email addresses provided (see four operational teams). Our Area Team Staff are generally available from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and a member of staff is always available to see personal callers at Samaritan House.

Area Team Staff can make an appointment with you for a private interview at our office, or to visit you in your own home at a time that is convenient to you. Please note that home visits can be arranged for anyone who is unable to call in person at our office due to age, disability, or caring responsibilities.

Please let us know in advance if any particular services, such as signing for the hearing impaired or interpretation into other community languages, are required so that our staff can make appropriate arrangements before they come to see you.
