The Association is host of, and an active participant in, the Govanhill Service Hub. This ground-breaking initiative was established in 2010 to facilitate more joined-up working between Glasgow City Council departments and other service providers working in Govanhill.
The other agencies involved in the Hub include City Property, GCC Social Work, GCC Community Planning, GCC Cleansing, GCC Environmental Health, GCC Private Landlord Registration, GCC Development & Regeneration Services, Community Safety Glasgow, Govanhill Law Centre, Greater Glasgow Health Board, Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Working together, the Hub agencies seek to develop local, multi-agency responses to a wide range of issues, such as:
- Anti-social behaviour
- Advice to residents
- Cleansing, refuse or bulk problems
- Community safety issues
- Crime/hate crime
- Dog fouling
- Fire risks in closes
- Health hazards
- Home fire safety visits
- Houses in multiple occupation
- Infestation
- Pest control
- Private landlord issues
- Property/factoring repairs
If you have any issues or concerns to for the Hub please contact us on checkin@govanhillha.org and we will pass this on.
