Since its foundation in 1974 Govanhill Housing Association has worked hard within the local community to improve living conditions.

The Association is managed by our Management Committee who are elected at our Annual General Meeting. We have the following sub committees:

• Housing Services
• Development
• Finance & General Purposes
• Audit

The Association has grown over the years and on 31st January 2011 the Association acquired 700 properties from Glasgow Housing Association following successfull ballots of tenants in Merrylee and Govanhill.

The Association now has two subsidiary companies:

• Govanhill Community Development Trust - our non-charitable subsidiary which owns and manages a portfolio of commercial properties
• GREAT Gardens - our charitable subsidiary which provides gardening services and employment and training opportunities
